Ten continuing education credits will be available for physicians, nurses, medical assistants, social workers, physical therapists and occupational therapists.<\/p>\n<p>\nAttendees will learn new strategies, resources and patient counseling techniques to improve wellness outcomes for physicians, clinical staff and patients.<\/p>\n<p>\n&#8220;I think it&#8217;s a message that should be heard,&#8221; said <strong>Audrey Paulman, M.D.,<\/strong> family medicine. &#8220;Integrated lifestyle medicine needs more awareness. This will be an educational and interactive conference that will provide participants with tools they can use in their own practice.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\nKeynote speaker will be <strong>Edward Phillips, M.D.,<\/strong> director of the Harvard Institute of Lifestyle Medicine and co-author of &#8220;Exercise is Medicine.&#8221; Other speakers include <strong>Jeremy Lazarus, M.D.,<\/strong> president of the American Medical Association, and <strong>Matt Davison<\/strong>, former Husker athlete and current Husker broadcaster.<\/p>\n<p>\nConference attendees are encouraged to bring their families for the weekend. There will be a variety of wellness activities offered, including family zumba, tai chi, yoga, a morning adventure challenge and a tree house adventure excursion.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe conference is a collaboration of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, the Nebraska Medical Association, and numerous other partners and sponsors.<\/p>\n<p>\nFor more information, contact Kathy Ward,
