His interest in developmental disabilities goes back to his student days at UNMC in the late 1970s.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his Ph.D., Dr. Stuberg is a physical therapist, a pediatric certified specialist and a member of the Fellows of the American Physical Therapy Association.  <\/p>\n<p>Since 2010, Dr. Stuberg has been coordinating educational programming across the institute as part of MMI&#8217;s University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service (UCEDD) grant. This project enabled him to work in an interdisciplinary fashion across MMI&#8217;s 13 different departments.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Stuberg said the new position will enable him to &#8220;expand and give myself new challenges as it relates to doing more interdisciplinary work in the institute.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Stuberg has been director of
