In 2012, the med center signed up 215 riders; organizers this year want to exceed that number. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is a great event for families and recreational riders,&#8221; said team captain Peter Pellerito. &#8220;The different distances and the non-competitive ride makes it a good fit for everyone &#8212; and for you competitive riders, the more med center riders and family members who participate, the better our chances to win the corporate challenge.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Download a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.showofficeonline.com\/forms\/CCC_2013_Employee_Packet.pdf\">registration form.<\/a> Participants can register up to the day of the event. <\/p>\n<p><b>New fitness event scheduled to begin next week<\/b><\/p>\n<p>On Aug. 23, UNMC will hold its inaugural Fitness Friday, a twice-monthly  outdoor fitness event to be held at the Bill and Ruth Scott Student Plaza.<\/p>\n<p>The inaugural event will feature yoga. Future activities may include pilates, jump roping, group walks or Zumba.<\/p>\n<p>Please contact <a href=\"mailto:unmcevents@unmc.edu\">the UNMC events coordinator <\/a>if you are able to attend,
