\nWayne Stuberg, Ph.D.,<\/a> has been appointed associate director of the Munroe-Meyer Institute<\/a> at the University of Nebraska Medical Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nDr. Stuberg has been at MMI since 1984 and has been director of the physical therapy department since 1987. His interest in developmental disabilities goes back to his student days at UNMC in the late 1970s.<\/p>\n

\nDr. Stuberg is a physical therapist, a pediatric certified specialist and a member of the Fellows of the American Physical Therapy Association. He earned his undergraduate, master’s and doctorate degrees at UNMC.<\/p>\n

\nSince 2010, Dr. Stuberg has been coordinating educational programming across the institute as part of MMI's University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service grant<\/a>. This project enabled him to work in an interdisciplinary fashion across MMI's 13 different departments.<\/p>\n

\nDr. Stuberg said the new position will enable him to “expand and give myself new challenges as it relates to doing more interdisciplinary work in the institute.”<\/p>\n
