She was 83.<\/p>\n<p>Skrupa enjoyed public service work and served as a member of the NU Board of Regents from 1989 through 2000. In addition to her law career, the Grand Island, Neb., native also worked with Credit Advisors, a credit counseling company she and her husband owned and operated.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;She was a great lady and regent, whose unconditional support for UNMC at the beginning of my deanship will always be remembered,&#8221; said UNMC Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D. &#8220;Her personal touch made a lasting impression on all of us.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include her husband, Frank of Omaha; three children, Frank X. Skrupa, Eleanor &#8220;Sam&#8221; Hohman (David) and Carlo A.
