{"id":45103,"date":"2013-11-26T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-11-26T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2013\/11\/26\/turkey-trot-set-for-tomorrow\/"},"modified":"2013-11-26T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2013-11-26T06:00:00","slug":"turkey-trot-set-for-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2013\/11\/26\/turkey-trot-set-for-tomorrow\/","title":{"rendered":"Turkey trot set for tomorrow"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\"><p>Who says Fitness Friday can&#8217;t fall on Wellness Wednesday?<\/p>\n<p>With the Thanksgiving holiday approaching, this week&#8217;s Fitness Friday event will be a Turkey Trot, held on <b>Wednesday<\/b> from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Get your coworkers together and come take a quick walk, jog or run around UNMC&#8217;s campus before the holiday weekend. <\/p>\n<p>Canned donations for the Food Bank for the Heartland will be accepted to help people during the holiday season. Bring your cans to the Sorrell Center (second floor north entrance) before you head out for the Turkey Trot.<\/p>\n<p>The map of the Turkey Trot can be found <b><a href=\"https:\/\/app1.unmc.edu\/PublicAffairs\/TodaySite\/images\/siteimages\/Trot1113.jpg\" target=\"_blanK\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/b> Participants can traverse the roughly one-mile course as many times as they like during the hour.<\/p>\n<p>Please RSVP to <a href=\"mailto:unmcevents@unmc.edu\">the events coordinator<\/a> if you or your department will be attending this fun, fitness event.
