They are distinct from other forums that have been scheduled regarding the clinical enterprise.<\/p>\n<p>\nTwo forums for faculty\/staff are scheduled. They will take place at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n7 a.m. on Tuesday, Sorrell Center, Room 3001.<\/li>\n<li>\n11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sorrell Center, Room 3001.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nTwo forums intended for students will take place at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\nnoon on Tuesday, Sorrell Center, Room 3001<\/li>\n<li>\n12:30 p.m. on March 25, Sorrell Center, Room 2010.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nThe college&#8217;s accrediting body, the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), visited UNMC in October as part of the college&#8217;s first full-scale review in eight years.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe LCME notified the college that it will be accredited but with &#8220;warning&#8221; status. The college received this status because the LCME identified seven standards (out of the 131 reviewed) that were out of compliance.<\/p>\n<p>\nCollege of Medicine Dean Bradley Britigan, M.D., and Gerald Moore, M.D., senior associate dean for education in the college, will speak at the forums.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All College of Medicine faculty, staff and students are encouraged to provide input at forums that have been scheduled over the next two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>These forums will address the college&#8217;s recent accreditation notification.
