Sorrell Center for Health Science Education at the corner of 42nd and Emile Streets.<\/p>\n<p>The new surface lot will have approximately 85 stalls, said Tina Spencer, manager of UNMC Parking Services. <\/p>\n<p>The lot replaces the long-standing parking structure that was closed December 2012 and razed last year for safety reasons after having surpassed its expected service life. <\/p>\n<p>The new lot has two entrances, both on 41st Street, and two parking areas, which are connected by a &#8220;loop&#8221; that allows vehicles to access either section. (Note: It is still considered one lot and no section designation will be included). The rate will be $30 per month.<\/p>\n<p>Spencer said motorists displaced when the garage was closed would be offered assignments in the new lot during the next month. Assignments will be based on parking rank and hire date.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lot replaces the parking structure razed in
