<\/FONT><\/B><\/p>\n

Twenty-two students from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College<\/p>\n

of Nursing Kearney Division were named to the dean’s list following the<\/p>\n

fall semester 1998.  To qualify for the dean’s list, students must<\/p>\n

have a grade point average of 3.8 or above.<\/p>\n

The UNMC College of Nursing, with divisions in Omaha, Lincoln, Kearney<\/p>\n

and Scottsbluff, is the largest nursing college in Nebraska.  It is<\/p>\n

the only nursing college in the state to offer bachelors, masters and<\/p>\n

doctoral degrees.<\/p>\n

UNMC is the only public academic health science center in the state. <\/p>\n

Through its commitment to research, education and patient care, UNMC has<\/p>\n

established itself as one of the countrys leading centers for cancer research<\/p>\n

and treatment and solid organ transplantation.  More than $34 million<\/p>\n

in research grants and contracts are awarded to UNMC scientists annually. <\/p>\n

In addition, UNMCs educational programs are responsible for training more<\/p>\n

health professionals practicing in Nebraska than any other institution.<\/p>\n
