Sixty-four eighth-grade students from 26 schools across Nebraska are
\nattending the University of Nebraska Medical Centers 12th annual Health\/Science
\nMeet June 10-12, for an educational and fun experience. The meets goal
\nis to inspire students, especially those from rural communities, to pursue
\ncareers in health care. The students qualified for the meet by submitting
\nscience projects in regional science competitions earlier in the year.<\/p>\n

The expense-paid meet exposes students to the health professions, medical
\nresearch and patient care. Events include hands-on science activities,
\npresentations about a variety of health science disciplines, touring UNMC,
\na team science competition and entertainment.<\/p>\n

Students interested in applying to attend next years eighth-grade Health\/Science
\nMeet should contact their science teacher, school counselor or principal
\nin the fall.<\/p>\n
