The seminar will include dinner<br \/>\nand keynote speaker Terri Malucci, a humorist from Boulder, Colo., and<br \/>\nauthor of Menopause Pink. The title of her presentation is Mid-life<br \/>\nReflections of Wisdom and Humor.<\/p>\n<p>Men as well as women are invited to learn about the early signs of menopause,<br \/>\nhow to manage symptoms, what the current recommendations are for taking<br \/>\nhormone replacement therapy and what men need to know about menopause,<br \/>\nas well as a health care maintenance session for men.<\/p>\n<p>The $20 registration fee includes lecture, keynote presentation and<br \/>\ndinner. The fee for nurses who want to earn 3.4 nursing contact hours is<br \/>\n$35.<\/p>\n<p>Lectures for women:<br \/>\n<br \/>&middot; Menopause in 2003, presented by Sonja Kinney, M.D., UNMC Department<br \/>\nof Obstetrics and Gynecology, will talk about physical and emotional changes<br \/>\nrelated to menopause and information from current studies on hormone replacement<br \/>\ntherapy and menopause.<br \/>\n<br \/>&middot; Its Never Too Late to Take Good Care of Yourself  Recommended<br \/>\nScreening Tests for Women, presented by Sara Nollette, advanced practice<br \/>\nregistered nurse, UNMC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, will discuss<br \/>\nrecommended health screenings<\/p>\n<p>Lectures for men:<br \/>\n<br \/>&middot; Menopausal Concerns: What Men Need to Know, presented by Robert<br \/>\nOlesh, M.D., UNMC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, who will define<br \/>\nmenopause and answer questions to help men understand their partners menopausal<br \/>\nconcerns<br \/>\n<br \/>&middot; Health Care Maintenance for Men, presented by John Ries, physician<br \/>\nassistant, UNMC Department of Internal Medicine, who will discuss strategies<br \/>\nfor health maintenance and prevention in males and what men need to do<br \/>\nto maintain their health as they age<\/p>\n<p>Seating is limited.
