Carol Pullen, Ed.D., assistant<br \/>\ndean for rural nursing education, for the College of Nursing in Omaha,<br \/>\nwill make the presentations.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Registered nurses interested in earning bachelor&#8217;s or master&#8217;s degrees<br \/>\nin nursing may attend informational sessions at the Northeast Community<br \/>\nCollege Agriculture\/Allied Health Building, 801 E. Benjamin Ave. in Norfolk,<br \/>\nroom 103. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Sessions will be held at the following dates and times:<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>June 16 sessions:<BR><br \/>\n4 to 5 p.m. Registered nurse to bachelor of science in nursing degree and<br \/>\nregistered nurse to master of science in nursing degree <BR><br \/>\n5 to 6 p.m. Bachelor of science in nursing to master of science in nursing<br \/>\ndegree<BR><br \/>\n6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Registered nurse to bachelor of science in nursing degree<br \/>\nand registered nurse to master of science in nursing degree <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>June 17 sessions:<BR><br \/>\n9 to 10 a.m. Registered nurse to bachelor of science in nursing degree<br \/>\nand registered nurse to master of science in nursing degree<BR><br \/>\n10 to 11 a.m. Bachelor of science in nursing to master of science in nursing<br \/>\ndegree<BR><br \/>\n11 a.m. to noon Registered nurse to bachelor of science in nursing degree<br \/>\nand registered nurse to master of science in nursing degree<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Non-nursing courses taken to pursue a bachelor&#8217;s degree can be earned<br \/>\nat any accredited colleges and will apply toward a degree through UNMC.<br \/>\nRegistered nurses don&#8217;t need a bachelor&#8217;s degree to enroll in the registered<br \/>\nnurse to master of science in nursing program. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Some of UNMC&#8217;s nursing courses are accessible through the Internet,<br \/>\nwhich offers students the flexibility of learning at home according to<br \/>\ntheir schedule. It is the only<br \/>\nnursing program in the state offering bachelor&#8217;s, master&#8217;s and doctoral<br \/>\ndegrees. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>UNMC is the only public academic health science center in the state.<br \/>\nThrough its commitment to research, education and patient care, UNMC has<br \/>\nestablished itself as one of the country&#8217;s leading centers for cancer research<br \/>\nand treatment and solid organ transplantation.
