The University of Nebraska Medical Center Student Association for Rural Health, made up of students from rural areas studying at UNMC, held its tenth Career Day Sept. 19. The event also was sponsored by the Rural Health Education Network and the Nebraska Area Health Education Center program.<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
Career Day introduces high school students with an interest in health careers, to the health sciences. Attending were 322 high school students from 61 Nebraska counties. The students learned about opportunities and met with health professionals in their areas of interest.<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
The program is one of many UNMC efforts to increase the number of health professionals serving in rural communities.<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
