The University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry Class of 2009 got a 100 percent pass rate on the second part of its national board exams. <\/font><\/p>\n

 <\/font><\/p>\n

The 100 percent pass rate is nothing new to the Class of 2009. The class also has a 100 percent pass rate on the first part of their national board exams. There are 47 students in the class.<\/font><\/p>\n

 <\/font><\/p>\n

"The national failure rates for the Dental National Boards (either Part I or Part II) are about 10 percent, so for an entire class to have 100 percent passing on the first administration is a significant accomplishment," said John Reinhardt, D.D.S., dean of the College of Dentistry. <\/font><\/p>\n

 <\/font><\/p>\n

Over the past 20 years, the only other UNMC dental class to have a 100 percent pass rate on the national board exams was the Class of 2006. <\/font><\/p>\n

 <\/font><\/p>\n

"This success is a tribute to the bright, hardworking students and to the exceptional faculty who teach them," Dr. Reinhardt said. <\/font><\/p>\n
