It will operate on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the UNMC Specialty Care Center, 804 S. 52<sup>nd<\/sup> St.&nbsp;The new schedule is effective Jan. 3.&nbsp;The SHARING Medical Clinic is relocating after UNMC&rsquo;s South Omaha Community Health Center, which previously housed and supported the SHARING Clinic, was closed on Dec. 1 due to a loss of grant funding.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: normal;margin: 0in 0in 0pt\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: normal;margin: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"color: black;font-size: 12pt\">The SHARING Clinic also had operated its RESPECT Clinic on Wednesday nights out of the South Omaha Community Health Center.&nbsp;In 2011, the RESPECT Clinic (<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Responsible Early STD Prevention Education and Community Testing) <span style=\"color: black\">will move to Baker Place, 5050 Ames Ave. and will be open on Monday nights beginning Jan. 24<i>.&nbsp;<\/i>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: normal;margin: 12pt 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"color: black;font-size: 12pt\">The SHARING Clinic will continue to offer the GOODLIFE Clinic at Baker Place, 5050 Ames Ave., on the second Wednesday of each month.&nbsp;The GOODLIFE Clinic (<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Greater Omaha Outreach for Diabetes Lifestyles Impacting Fitness and Education) <span style=\"color: black\">offers treatment of Type II diabetes.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: normal;margin: 0in 0in 0pt\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: normal;margin: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"color: black;font-size: 12pt\">&ldquo;We are excited to continue to serve patients at all three of our clinics,&rdquo; said SHARING Clinic co-president and medical student Kara Markin.&nbsp;&ldquo;The SHARING Clinics provide important health care services in our community and offer valuable experience to students across UNMC&rsquo;s academic programs.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: normal;margin: 0in 0in 0pt\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: normal;margin: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"color: black;font-size: 12pt\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/sharing\/index.htm\">SHARING Clinics<\/a> are entirely student-run with support from a faculty advisory group, which is chaired by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/familymed\/civilian4.htm#\">Audrey Paulman, M.D.<\/a>&nbsp;&ldquo;The students take great pride in operating the SHARING Clinics,&quot; Dr. Paulman said. &quot;They put much thought and hard work into the clinic operations and the recent relocations.&rdquo; <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: normal;margin: 0in 0in 0pt\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: normal;margin: 0in 0in 0pt\"><i><span style=\"color: black;font-size: 10pt\">Through world-class research and patient care, UNMC generates breakthroughs that make life better for people throughout Nebraska and beyond.
