UNMC’s College of Pharmacy is sponsoring a Biopharmaceutical Research and Development Symposium in June that will bring together leading academic researchers with biopharmaceutical industry scientists for two days of seminars, roundtable discussions and networking opportunities.<\/p>\n

Planned topics of discussion include the drug development and approval process, redefining the interface between industry and academia, enabling oral drug delivery technologies and new modalities in biopharma. <\/p>\n

Guest speakers<\/a> include representatives from Novartis, Bristol-Meyers-Squibb, Merck, Biogen, Abbott Labs, Gilead Sciences, Bend Research, Celerion Corporation and Genzyme Corporation.<\/p>\n

The symposium is free to all UNMC faculty and students, and registration for non-UNMC attendees is $150, which includes a lunch and snack on both days.<\/p>\n

The symposium is planned for June 5 and 6 at the Michael F. Sorrell Center for Health Science Education on 42nd and Emilie streets.<\/p>\n
