The Dr. Stanley M. and Dorothy Truhlsen Campus Events Center unveiled a new look this month, with new carpeting that will spruce up the venue just in time for wedding season and the upcoming fall semester.<\/p>\n

\nThe events center is a popular spot for weddings.<\/span>

\n<\/TABLE>The events center, located inside the Sorrell Center at 42nd and Emile streets, is available to the UNMC community, as well as the general public, for educational conferences, business meetings, retreats, formal dinners, wedding receptions and other social gatherings.<\/p>\n

The spacious ballroom can accommodate up to 500 people for a lecture-style program, or up to 350 for a sit-down meal. It also can be divided into smaller rooms for more intimate events.<\/p>\n

“The events center is an affordable, convenient and versatile space that can accommodate a wide range of events,” said campus events center coordinator Candace Peteler. “The new carpeting gives the space a fresh new look.”<\/p>\n
