{"id":49770,"date":"2014-06-23T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2014-06-23T05:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2014\/06\/23\/construction-work-may-impact-dewey-avenue\/"},"modified":"2022-09-02T20:26:32","modified_gmt":"2022-09-03T01:26:32","slug":"construction-work-may-impact-dewey-avenue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2014\/06\/23\/construction-work-may-impact-dewey-avenue\/","title":{"rendered":"Construction work may impact Dewey Avenue"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\"><p>An ongoing project to renovate the heating and cooling systems within Eppley Science Hall requires assembly of a crane that may impact traffic at the intersection of 42nd Street and Dewey Avenue. <\/p>\n<p>The project involves lifting large roof-top exhaust fans to the roof of Eppley Science Hall via crane.<\/p>\n<p>Starting tomorrow, June 24, crane operations along the south of Dewey Avenue will restrict lane usage. Flagmen will be onsite to direct vehicular traffic, and drivers and pedestrians are asked to exercise caution. During crane set up and tear down, there may be intermittent periods when the Eppley Science Hall and Poynter Hall Drive is closed. <\/p>\n<p>Throughout construction, two lanes of traffic on Dewey Avenue will always be maintained. Work is expected to be completed by Friday, June 27, at which time normal traffic patterns will resume. <\/p>\n<p>This is the first of two such instances when a large crane will be required for the project.
