\nJune 26-28 – <\/strong>The UNMC\/Children’s Hospital & Medical Center cystic fibrosis team will host a site visit for nine other CF programs around the country, including 90 health care providers. The UNMC\/Children’s program leads the country with the best medical outcomes for patients. The visiting CF teams will be able to observe first-hand the care being delivered at UNMC\/Children’s.<\/p>\n

\nJune 28 –<\/strong> 8 a.m., Hi Mark Golf Course, 8901 Augusta Drive, Lincoln – golf tournament to benefit Parkinson's disease research, outreach and education in Nebraska. Call Karen Anderson, 402-559-8839, for more details.<\/p>\n

\nJuly 1 – <\/strong>Clinical enterprise forums will be held at four locations (see item in newsletter for more details).<\/p>\n

\nJuly 11 – <\/strong>St. Baldrick's Foundation will hold its annual Shave-a-thon to raise money for pediatric cancer research in the west atrium of the Durham Outpatient Center.<\/p>\n

\nJuly 12 – <\/strong>OwL Ride, Omaha’s nighttime urban cycling adventure benefitting the Meyer Foundation for Disabilities. Click here for more information and to register.<\/a><\/p>\n

\nJune 28 and July 6 – <\/strong>Yoga enthusiasts and novices are invited to attend Yoga Rocks the Park and support the Prevention of Global Blindness Division<\/a> of the Truhlsen Eye Institute at UNMC. At 4 p.m. each day, the public is invited to take part in a free yoga session in Turner Park at Midtown Crossing.
