Joslyn Art Museum will host an Art Talk & Brown Bag Lunch event featuring their latest exhibit — “In Living Color: Andy Warhol and Contemporary Printmaking,” from the collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and his family foundation — at noon on Nov. 4 in the Sorrell Center, Room 2010.<\/p>\n

The exhibition is on view at the Joslyn through Jan. 11.<\/p>\n

Join Karin Campbell, Joslyn’s Phil Willson Curator of Contemporary Art, for an illustrated overview of the exhibition.<\/p>\n

Warhol, a master colorist, depicted the world with the volume turned up! Employing a seemingly endless palette, he challenged how we comprehend the iconic imagery of popular culture, politics, and consumer society. This exhibition examines how Warhol and other artists working since 1945 — including Helen Frankenthaler, Mary Heilmann, John Baldessari, and Ross Bleckner — have used color to shape how audiences understand and respond to images.<\/p>\n

The presentation is part of the Passport Partners program, which provides free museum admission for medical center employees, students and their immediate family with a valid identification badge, while also offering lectures, workshops and other events on the medical center campus.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
