The Community Service to Research Award recognizes a community member who has a demonstrated record of service to UNMC research. The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research is accepting nominations from UNMC faculty members for this award; nominations are due on Dec. 1. (Download nomination form here<\/a>). <\/p>\n

Community members serve an essential role in many aspects of UNMC research: translating research into the community; reviewing research protocols for relevance to the community; helping to develop new resources; and providing key insights on health problems so that they can be better studied, or study results interpreted. <\/p>\n

Individuals who have been helpful to UNMC research efforts in any of these or other roles are eligible for nomination. The award will be presented at the Distinguished Scientist Ceremony in 2015.<\/p>\n
