It will remain open through Jan. 31.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe rink is located just east of 42nd Street, midway between Emile Street and Dewey Avenue on the north side of the Michael F. Sorrell Center for Health Science Education building. It features concessions, music and seasonal decorations.<\/p>\n<p>\nAdmission is $7, which includes skates (cash or credit card only-no checks or debit cards).<\/p>\n<p>\nHours of operation are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday through Friday.<\/li>\n<li>\nNoon to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nThe rink will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year&rsquo;s Eve and New Year&rsquo;s Day. It also is closed on Monday nights for the UNMC student broomball league tournaments.<\/p>\n<p>\nFree parking is available in Lot 04 (southeast corner of 42nd and Emile St.) and Lot 15S (surface lot on 40th Street between Dewey &amp; Emile streets) located on the north and east sides of the Student Life Center.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe ice rink will be closed if the wind-chill is 0 degrees or below, based on the Weather Channel. In the event of extreme snow, please call 402.559.0697 in advance to make sure the rink is open. Notice of the ice rink closing for private events or due to inclement weather can be found on the ice rink&#039;s Facebook page, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/#%21\/pages\/The-Ice-at-the-UNMC\/232062104664\">The Ice at the UNMC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\nThis year, the Ronald McDonald benefit skate, &quot;Freezin&#039; for a Reason,&quot; will take place Dec. 6, with the Skate-a-thon for Parkinson&#039;s set for Jan. 23 and 24.
