Joslyn Museum will host an “Art Talk & Brown Bag Lunch” March 24 to discuss the exhibit “American Moderns, 1910-1960: From O’Keeffe to Rockwell.”<\/p>\n

Join Toby Jurovics, Joslyn’s chief curator and Holland Curator of American Western Art, for an illustrated overview of the exhibition, which will be on display at the Joslyn Art Museum through May 17.<\/p>\n

The event will be held at noon at the College of Nursing building on the Omaha campus, Room 2018.<\/p>\n

Between 1910 and 1960, the United States emerged as an international power, while also experiencing two world wars and the Great Depression. New technologies changed all aspects of life, while the art world witnessed dramatic transformations of its own. This exhibition of 50 paintings and sculptures explores the ways American artists engaged the modern world. <\/p>\n

The presentation is part of the Passport Partners program, which provides free museum admission for medical center employees, students and their immediate family with a valid identification badge, while also offering lectures, workshops and other events on the medical center campus.<\/p>\n
