I started here on June 25, 2014 (but have 12 years of experience in ophthalmology).<\/ul>\n<p><b>Tell us a bit about what you do here at UNMC.<\/b><br \/> <br \/>\nI am a registered nurse, certified registered nurse in ophthalmology, ophthalmology scribe certified, and a certified ophthalmic assistant at the Stanley M. Truhlsen Eye Institute. My role is in education for the techs, ensuring clinics run well, nursing duties (blood draws for research and administering dye for angiograms), scheduling for the staff, patient concerns, tech concerns and anything else that I can lend a hand in.  My role seems to be ever-changing, which is something I enjoy.<\/p>\n<p><b>Leadership is one of UNMC&#8217;s brand values. Tell us of a time you witnessed a person or group act as a trusted resource at UNMC. <\/b><br \/>\nI have had great experiences working with ambulatory leaders, human resources, Epic staff and education staff.  Everyone has been helpful and encouraging.  It is great to work so well as a team when you aren&#8217;t even in the same building.<\/p>\n<p><b>What is your favorite spring activity?<\/b><br \/>\nGrilling and sand volleyball.<\/p>\n<p><b>List three things people may not know about you.<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I absolutely dislike picking restaurants. I would much rather someone else decide.\n<li>I&#8217;m a middle child (one of three girls).\n<li>I love science and math.
