On June 5 and 6, Tom Herzog and Kim Schweers welcomed more than 4,000 attendees to this year’s Cattlemen’s Ball of Nebraska<\/a>. <\/p>\n

As owners of the Redbird Ranch, located on the Niobrara River near Lynch, Neb., they provided a scenic and beautiful setting for the ball complete with golfing, silent and live auctions, art show, wine tastings and a concert featuring Aaron Tippin, Sammy Kershaw and Darryl Worley. <\/p>\n

The Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center provided on-site skin assessments and offered the opportunity for attendees to sign one of the new cancer center beams. <\/p>\n

Ninety percent of the proceeds from the event go to the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center<\/a> for cancer research, with the remaining 10 percent earmarked for regional health organizations. <\/p>\n

Since the Cattlemen’s Ball started in 1998, the group has raised more than $10 million dollars in support of cancer research. The Cattlemen’s Ball video<\/a> shares some of the ways the funds are being used here in Nebraska.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
