Here&#8217;s a brief rundown of his background and the expertise he brings to campus.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Name:<\/b> Adam DeFoe, M.D.\n<li><b>Hometown:<\/b> Devils Lake, N.D.\n<li><b>New title and department at UNMC:<\/b>  Assistant professor, UNMC Department of Radiology<\/ul>\n<p><b>Specialty:<\/b><br \/>\nInterventional radiology.<\/p>\n<p><b>Research\/Professional Interests:<\/b><br \/>\nI am currently involved with research projects in the areas of interventional oncology, education and quality. <\/p>\n<p><b>How I fell in love with radiology:<\/b><br \/>\nI was fortunate to shadow my hometown radiologist (yes, there was only one) while I was in high school. His excitement for radiology was contagious. While in medical school, I discovered I liked the procedural side of medicine, as well. Interventional radiology is the perfect combination, with image-guided minimally invasive procedures. <\/p>\n<p><b>Degrees:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor of Arts &#8211; St. John&#8217;s University,
