Here&#8217;s a brief rundown of his background and the expertise he brings to campus.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Name:<\/b> Patrick Millerd, M.D.\n<li><b>Hometown:<\/b> Bellevue\n<li>New title and department at UNMC: Assistant professor, UNMC Department of Radiology<\/ul>\n<p><b>Specialty:<\/b><br \/>\nAbdominal imaging and breast imaging.<\/p>\n<p><b>Research\/Professional Interests:<\/b><br \/>\nBreast density, breast MRI, contrast enhanced mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis (3D mammography).<\/p>\n<p><b>How I fell in love with radiology:<\/b><br \/>\nI&#8217;ve always loved science fiction and technology. In fact, my undergraduate major was computer science.\n<li>While I love both &#8220;Star Trek&#8221; and &#8220;Star Wars,&#8221; &#8220;Star Trek&#8221; is my favorite because it speaks to what we
