\n<\/TABLE>The UNMC College of Medicine has been invited to participate in the ChangeMedEd 2015 national conference<\/a>, in which leaders from medical education, health systems and related fields will collaborate and share ideas with the intent of transforming the way future physicians are trained. The conference will be held Oct. 1-3 in Chicago.<\/p>\n

Sponsored by the American Medical Association (AMA), the conference will focus on cultivating a community of innovation that drives the creation of the medical school of the future. Kelly Caverzagie, M.D., associate dean for educational strategy, and Wendy Grant, M.D., professor of surgery, will be representing UNMC at this conference. They will lead a “Challenge Round” interactive discussion of stakeholders focusing on faculty remuneration in a redesigned curriculum. <\/p>\n

Planning activities for the design phase of the redesigned curriculum are nearing completion with kickoff of the process to start in September. Dr. Caverzagie said more than 100 faculty members and residents have volunteered their time and energy to help out with redesign process. <\/p>\n
