Here&#8217;s a brief rundown of her background and the expertise she brings to campus. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Name:<\/b> Xiaofang Wang, Ph.D.\n<li><b>Hometown:<\/b> Shanxi, China\n<li><b>Title and department at UNMC:<\/b> Research assistant professor, pharmaceutical sciences, College of Pharmacy <\/ul>\n<p><b>Research\/Professional Interests:<\/b><br \/>\nDr. Wang&#8217;s research focuses on the design and synthesis of novel bioactive molecules. She is involved in core malaria and schistosomiasis research projects, in addition to collaborative projects ranging from botulinum neurotoxins (BoNTs), creatine esters, glucose transporter inhibitors, toxoplasmosis to other studies of tropical diseases. She is especially interested in the computer-aided drug design and discovery process.
