Future sessions will deal with Jewish and Christian groups.<\/p>\n<p>Following the course, participants will be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Discuss the potential importance of religion in the life meaning and healing process.\n<li>Develop an awareness of basic Muslim traditions.\n<li>Develop an awareness of how some Muslim immigrant&#8217;s access health care.\n<li>Raise awareness of Nebraska Medicine&#8217;s cooperation with Muslim patients from other countries who come to Nebraska Medicine for treatment.\n<li>Reflect upon Muslim beliefs which might impact health care decisions.<\/ul>\n<p>The panel of speakers will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rev. Joyce Miller, staff chaplain at Nebraska Medicine\n<li>Mohammed Al Kadhim, International Healthcare Services, Nebraska Medicine\n<li>Maisha Godare, community leader\n<li>Jamil Neme, M.D., family medicine resident house officer, UNMC\n<li>Lacey Studnicka, program development officer, Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska<\/ul>\n<p>Nebraska Medicine is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Midwest Multistate Division, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center&#8217;s Commission on Accreditation, and 1.8 contact hours will be awarded for this presentation. You must be able to attend the entire presentation to receive contact hours.
