Search firm representatives Eileen Blake and Trisha Chogich, of Alexander, Wollman and Stark, conducted on-campus interviews with cardiology faculty and house officers and others with vested interest in the cardiology program in the fall.<\/p>\n<p>Search committee members include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tim Baxter, M.D.;\n<li>Adam Burdorf, D.O.;\n<li>Jennifer Larsen, M.D.;\n<li>Michael Moulton, M.D.;\n<li>Shana Peper, M.D.;\n<li>Thomas Porter, M.D.;\n<li>Shane Tsai, M.D.;\n<li>Chad Vokoun, M.D.;\n<li>Irving Zucker, Ph.D.; and\n<li>Angela Heisterkamp.<\/ul>\n<p>The committee has identified a slate of candidates. It will review curricula vitae and invite prospective candidates for on-campus interviews, beginning next week.<\/p>\n<p>When he took over the reins of the UNMC Division of Cardiology, Dr. Windle said, his intention was to &#8220;create the region&#8217;s premiere cardiovascular program and grow our research infrastructure to be nationally recognized.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>The division now has an expanded research program in place, as well as an inventive educational program.  Six clinical specialty units have been established within the division and close collaboration with cardiothoracic surgery and vascular surgery is the norm. <\/p>\n<p>Dr. Windle said he is now &#8220;looking forward to handing over the reins of administration and concentrating on my research and patient care.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Search
