In addition to patients and family members who will share their stories, med center guests at the event will include:<\/p>\n<p><b>7-9 a.m. today<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Edibaldo Silva, M.D., Ph.D., professor of surgical oncology in the College of Medicine;\n<li>Andrew Coughlin, M.D., assistant professor of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery in the College of Medicine.\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>9-11 a.m. today<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tony Hollingworth, Ph.D., professor and director of pancreatic cancer research and director of the cancer biomarkers group, Eppley Institute, College of Medicine;\n<li>Jason Foster, M.D., assistant professor of surgical oncology in the College of Medicine.<\/ul>\n<p><b>11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Allison Cushman-Vokoun, M.D., Ph.D., associate professor of pathology\/microbiology in the College of Medicine<\/ul>\n<p><b>1-3 p.m. today<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Matt Lunning, D.O., assistant professor of internal medicine-oncology\/hematology in the College of Medicine;\n<li>Sara Weging, staff nurse at Nebraska Medicine.<\/ul>\n<p><b>3 p.m. to 5 p.m. today<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>James Ford, D.O., assistant professor, pediatrics-hematology\/oncology in the College of Medicine.<\/ul>\n<p><b>7-9 a.m. Friday<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rebecca Swanson, nurse practitioner at Nebraska Medicine;\n<li>Rudy Lackner, M.D., professor of surgery-cardiovascular and thoracic surgery in the College of Medicine.<\/ul>\n<p><b>8:45-10 a.m. on Friday<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Angela Mortensen, social worker at Nebraska Medicine<\/ul>\n<p><b>1-3 p.m. Friday<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jennifer Black, Ph.D., program director, Gastrointestinal Cancer Research Program;\n<li>Jessica Kozel, M.D., assistant professor of pathology\/microbiology in the College of Medicine.<\/ul>\n<p><b>4-6 p.m. Friday<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kenneth Cowan, M.D., Ph.D., director of the Fred &amp; Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to the physicians, researchers and health care professionals who will share their expertise, the two-day event will feature personal stories from cancer survivors, those battling cancer and family members. The goal of the event is to raise money for the Fred &amp; Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.<\/p>\n<p>From 6 a.m.-6p.m., NRG and med center staff members will be answering pledge calls in a call center at NRG Media headquarters in Midtown Omaha. People are encouraged to call 800-200-9506 (English) and 800-200-9507 (Spanish).
