\nEditor’s Note:<\/em><\/strong> Each month, InterCOM will highlight a "Student of the Month" from the College of Medicine. Students will be featured for their participation in activities outside of medical school and for making a difference in the community. The goal is to recognize students for what they are doing and to encourage other students to get involved in the community. After all, medical school should be much more than studying.  <\/p>\n

\nBesides being a full-time student and full-time dad, I am a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters, a continuity provider with the SHARING Clinics and am part of the College of Medicine student summer research program. <\/p>\n

\nStaying Balanced:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nI like to do a lot of different things outside of the time I spend in the hospital and library. I enjoy playing with my dog, cooking, tending to my vegetable corner (it’s much too small to be considered a garden), trying to golf, changing diapers, following various sports, listening\/playing music, and going on walks with my family.<\/p>\n
