Radiology at Village Pointe opened its doors Aug. 22 on the lower level of Building 111 at 111 N. 175th St., making it easier, more convenient and more desirable for West Omaha patients seeking diagnostic services in the area.<\/p>\n

\n

Health fair at Village Pointe<\/h3>\n

As Village Pointe continues to expand, the public is invited to visit the campus on Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Village Pointe Health Fair, “Taking the Stress Out of Health Care.”<\/p>\n

This event will take place at the 111 Building and will allow the community the opportunity to learn more about the specialties that are offered at the West Omaha campus. Free health screenings, outdoor yoga and chair massages, cooking demonstrations, “grab and go” beverages and snacks, activities for children, and more will be available to the public.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

New diagnostic services include a high-field wide-bore, 1.5T MRI with a sentient lighting experience and illuminated wall fixtures, which will provide a more calming experience for patients. A 256-slice CT scanner also is available, allowing scans to be produced quickly while using a lower dose of radiation. Two 3D mammography units, digital X-ray, ultrasound and bone densitometry also are available for provider use. The clinic is open Monday – Friday from 7 a.m.- 6 p.m.<\/p>\n

“We are beyond thrilled to offer our expanded radiology services at Village Pointe,” said Amy Pitzer, radiology operations manager. “We have a great crew who takes a lot of pride in their work, and we’re all really looking forward to offering our new technology to our patients.”<\/p>\n

Changes also are taking place in the Village Pointe Building 110 (110 N. 175th St.). The Olson Center for Women’s Health will remain on the second floor, but it moved from suite 2800 to the Multispecialty Clinic on Aug. 29. The move allows staff to be utilized in several areas, and specialists and primary care providers are able to work closer together, which continues to improve the coordination of care and the overall patient experience at Nebraska Medicine.<\/p>\n

“In addition to improving the overall patient experience, the clinic staff will be able to care for various patient populations, which will enhance their skill sets and assist in their continued learning and development,” said Kara Tomlinson, director of ambulatory clinics. “Many staff at Village Pointe are cross-trained to allow for better coverage and improved use of resources.”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
