Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to review UNMC’s assurance argument, or self-study, which explains how the campus meets, or is addressing, the criteria for reaffirmation of accreditation.<\/p>\n

The 153-page document is available on the UNMC accreditation website<\/a> (see assurance argument 2016-17<\/a>). Please send feedback by Oct. 1 to Jim Turpen, Ph.D., associate vice chancellor for academic affairs, at jturpen@unmc.edu<\/a> or Kami Wattenbach, accreditation and assessment coordinator, at kami.wattenbach@unmc.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Representatives from all units of campus have spent hundreds of hours collecting and reviewing evidence and preparing the assurance argument. The purpose of the document is to answer the criterion that the Higher Learning Commission lays out, and to prove that UNMC is meeting those criterions. The process of assembling the document, however, also shows the campus community areas of opportunity and progress.<\/p>\n

The self-study will be shared with members of the Higher Learning Commission in late October as they prepare for their visit to campus on Nov. 28 and 29.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
