This week, we learn more about: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Name:<\/b> Brett Coleman\n<li><b>Hometown:<\/b> Omaha\n<li><b>No. of years at UNMC:<\/b> More than nine years<\/ul>\n<p><b>Tell us about what you do here at UNMC:<\/b><br \/>\nI work in ITS Video Services.  There are a number of groups and individuals in ITS Video Services that help schedule, coordinate and execute various types of events hosted in meeting rooms, conference rooms, classrooms and auditoriums. I work in the Video Operations Center, where we focus on video conferencing events.  We connect sites and campuses together for the purpose of business, education, and telehealth consults. In addition, we have the ability to &#8220;live stream&#8221; events such as employee forums, so people can watch from the convenience of their desk, office, or other remote location. <\/p>\n<p>About eight or nine years ago, we connected to the space shuttle when Clayton Anderson was aboard.  We used our video conferencing system to connect to Johnson Space Center and NASA completed the connection up to Clayton. <\/p>\n<p><b>Accountability is one of UNMC&#8217;s brand values. Tell us of a time you witnessed a person or group demonstrate accountability at UNMC:<\/b><br \/>\nAccountability is evident in ITS Video Services on a daily basis.  Many meetings, events and video conferences are hosted daily. For each of these events, there are teams and individuals who work behind the scenes to make it a success. Each person in the process is accountable to the next.  <\/p>\n<p><b>What is your favorite fall activity:<\/b><br \/>\nIf I had to pick one activity, it&#8217;s camping.  We&#8217;ll round up a large group of people and head to Pawnee State Recreation area for a nice weekend outing. We like to hike, bike, enjoy some good conversation around the campfire, make up a crockpot full of chili and listen to the Husker football game. <\/p>\n<p><b>List three things people may not know about you:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When I was younger I took flying lessons. It was both exciting and nerve-racking. I flew a number of solo flights and smaller cross country flights before giving it up for safer activities.\n<li>I once spent a week or more with seven guys riding ATVs through the Rocky Mountains in Northern Idaho&#8217;s Bitterroot Mountains.  We camped, toured old silver mines and rode through old abandoned train tunnels using our ATVs as the only source of transportation.\n<li>Working at UNMC is a family affair.
