The event had more than 8,500 registered walkers\/runners. <\/p>\n<p>In 2016, Nebraska Medicine increased its sponsorship level. The larger display space provided multiple opportunities for survivors and their families to interact with Nebraska Medicine. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Making Memories&#8221; featured the opportunity for race attendees to stop by for a Polaroid photo along with an option for a digital photo that had a real-time feed into the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/nebraskamed\/?hl=en\">Nebraska Medicine Instagram account<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>A &#8220;#SpreadGoodness video&#8221; station &#8212; in partnership with Ashli Brehm, breast cancer survivor and Nebraska Medicine patient &#8212; brought a series of survivors, their families and volunteers together to create a &#8220;power of goodness&#8221; video, which can be seen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ELJiwGOXeAs&amp;feature=youtu.be\">here<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Capturing the Human Spirit&#8221; gave race attendees the chance to be a part of capturing the day in the form of artistic visuals.<\/p>\n<p>The Nebraska Medicine\/UNMC team had volunteers from all over the organization helping during the event, including volunteer services, talent acquisition, clinical leaders, nurses, staff, marketing, outreach and community relations, and other areas.
