{"id":57392,"date":"2016-11-23T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-11-23T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2016\/11\/23\/lauritzen-outpatient-center-openings-continue\/"},"modified":"2022-09-02T17:10:16","modified_gmt":"2022-09-02T22:10:16","slug":"lauritzen-outpatient-center-openings-continue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2016\/11\/23\/lauritzen-outpatient-center-openings-continue\/","title":{"rendered":"Lauritzen Outpatient Center openings continue"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\"><p>Nebraska Medicine and UNMC opened level three of the Lauritzen Outpatient Center Tuesday, following the opening of Level One last week. <\/p>\n<p>So far the staff and physicians are embracing the new delivery of care. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Having our clinic, X-ray and physical therapy in close proximity has made for a much more efficient flow of our patients through our facility and has improved our patients&#8217; experience dramatically,&#8221; said Matthew Mormino, M.D., professor of orthopaedic surgery.  <\/p>\n<p>New to the format of Lauritzen Outpatient Center are shared work spaces for physicians and staff that lead into patient rooms.<\/p>\n<p>Services on level one include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Orthopaedics clinic\n<li>Physical and occupational therapy (PT\/OT)\n<li>Outpatient pharmacy\n<li>Radiology\n<li>Laboratory services<\/ul>\n<p>Services on level three include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ear, nose and throat\n<li>Audiology\n<li>Oral and maxillofacial surgery\n<li>Oral facial prosthetics\n<li>Surgery-urology<\/ul>\n<p>Lauritzen Outpatient Center, including the Fritch Surgery Center, has been opening services over the course of nearly three weeks in the month of November and will be fully operational by Nov. 30. The remaining schedule is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Level four: Orthopaedics faculty and research as well as telemedicine, opening throughout November; and\n<li>Level two (Fritch Surgery Center): Pre\/post-op and outpatient surgery, opening Nov. 30.<\/ul>\n<p>A formal building dedication and ribbon-cutting event, followed by tours of the state-of-the-art facility, will be held Dec. 17 at 10 a.m. Valet parking will be available at the front drop-off or self-parking is available in Lot 36, which is located southwest of the
