{"id":58036,"date":"2017-02-13T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-02-13T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2017\/02\/13\/nominate-a-co-worker-for-the-gold-u-award\/"},"modified":"2017-02-13T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2017-02-13T06:00:00","slug":"nominate-a-co-worker-for-the-gold-u-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2017\/02\/13\/nominate-a-co-worker-for-the-gold-u-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Nominate a co-worker for the Gold U Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\"><p>On campus, there are people every day who are dedicated to UNMC, consistently go above and beyond the call of duty, and whose contribution make UNMC a great place to work.<\/p>\n<p>The university community can recognize these people and show appreciation by nominating outstanding co-workers for the Chancellor&#8217;s Gold U Award.<\/p>\n<p>The Gold U is given six times a year to employees who consistently deliver outstanding performance and service to UNMC. <b>Nominations for March&#8217;s award close Feb. 24, so there still is time to submit.<\/b> <\/p>\n<p>Criteria for the Gold U Award include: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Consistently provide outstanding customer service or significantly improve the effectiveness or efficiencies of daily operations.\n<li>Contribute to and support of the mission and vision of UNMC in the best interest of UNMC&#8217;s customers.\n<li>Promote and acknowledge individual accountability for organization success.\n<li>Create and foster an environment of learning and communication.\n<li>Raise the standard on quality, and have high expectations for performance.\n<li>Respect individuals for their cultures, contributions and points of view.\n<li>Pursue excellence in a professional, ethical manner.<\/ul>\n<p>Recipients of the Gold U are honored at a breakfast with UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., and receive:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Gold U pin;\n<li>A $100 cash award;\n<li>A UNMC Gold U certificate signed by Dr. Gold;\n<li>An invitation to the annual service award dinner in June;\n<li>Recognition at a Board of Regents meeting that includes a Board of Regents &#8220;Kudos&#8221; certificate; and\n<li>A career development award of up to $2,500.<\/ul>\n<p>Don&#8217;t miss
