Like most thyroid conditions, nodules are more common among women than men. Fortunately, most thyroid nodules are benign, but 5 to 10 percent of thyroid nodules end up being cancer.<\/p>\n<p>Seating for the event is limited; please pre-register by calling the Olson Center at 402-559-6345. Attendees can bring lunch, and simple refreshments will be provided.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture is free.  However, there is a $10 charge to obtain nursing credit.  Payment instructions will be given at pre-registration.<\/p>\n<p><b>Note:<\/b> The UNMC College of Nursing Continuing Nursing Education is accredited with distinction as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center&#8217;s Commission on Accreditation.
