Gold, M.D., has been given increased responsibilities while continuing in that position.<\/p>\n<p>Leuenberger, who served as the UNMC vice chancellor for business and finance from 1988 to 2015, will advise the chancellor in business and finance matters as UNMC and UNO undergo a transition of leadership in business and finance. <\/p>\n<p>During Leuenberger&#8217;s 27 years as vice chancellor, he left his fingerprints on every aspect of his position, taking UNMC to the next level in accounting, HR, ITS, facilities, energy management and more.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Don Leuenberger has been an integral part of the growth of UNMC over the past three decades, and he has continued to offer his invaluable expertise in the two years since he stepped away from his position as vice chancellor,&#8221; Dr. Gold said. &#8220;He is the perfect person to help with this transition, and his knowledge and experience will be invaluable as we examine the needs of both UNMC and UNO.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Don Leuenberger has been serving as a special assistant to Chancellor Jeffrey P.
