Catherine Mello has been named the next director of the UNMC Alumni Relations Office, said Bob Bartee, vice chancellor for external affairs. <\/p>\n

Mello has served as interim director of the UNMC Alumni Relations Office since January. <\/p>\n

She joined Alumni Relations in November 2010 as its associate director for communication and outreach. She also served two years as a graduate research assistant in the College of Public Health from 2005 to 2007.<\/p>\n

As alumni director, Mello will continue to work to advance the New Era of Engagement, which was passed by the UNMC Alumni Association Board of Directors in 2015 and included automatic membership to all graduates. <\/p>\n

“We value our many alumni and continue to look for deeper collaborations between alumni and campus leaders that will make a real difference for both our alumni, and the next generation of health professionals at UNMC,” Mello said.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
