It’s no secret patients and visitors can experience challenges trying to find their way on the medical center campus. Colleagues are encouraged to stop and offer assistance when they spot someone who appears to be lost. <\/p>\n

“Each time I walk through the hallways, I see our colleagues offering assistance to our guests,” said Liz Hamilton, patient experience advisor at Nebraska Medicine. “They do a great job directing patients and in some cases, even walk them to their destination.”<\/p>\n

Recently, leadership has received feedback of a few instances of patients looking for the Durham Outpatient Center who were instead directed to the Durham Research Center. <\/p>\n

“While the names of these buildings are similar, we want to remind colleagues there is no patient care offered in the Durham Research Center,” Hamilton said.<\/p>\n

The Durham Outpatient Center (DOC), located near 44th and Emile streets, features a circle drive and a nearby parking structure (green parking). The DOC is often used an entrance to the hospital, but is home to many clinics.<\/p>\n
