The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research has announced a new grant program designed to promote the use of core facilities at UNMC and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. <\/p>\n

The program is open to all faculty from any of the NU campuses. Awards are intended to be used to gather new or additional data for strengthening a grant proposal (new or resubmission) or for addressing reviewer concerns associated with a peer-reviewed manuscript. <\/p>\n

The program is sponsored by the University of Nebraska Central Administration with Nebraska Research Initiative funds. At this time, only core facilities that receive NRI support are eligible for this program. <\/p>\n

“While these funds are intended to support new use of core facilities, they will also support the use of new technology within a core or new methods development,” said Paula Turpen, Ph.D., director of research resources for UNMC. “For example, a researcher who may have used a core within the past two years now may want to try newly acquired core technology or need a specialized method developed for their project.” <\/p>\n

Researchers who wish to apply must obtain a quote for services from the director of the core facility to be used. <\/p>\n
