Internal Medicine has been selecting a &quot;Publication of the Quarter&quot; since 2012 and the final selection is based on criteria including impact factor of the journal.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Rupp, MD, division chief of infectious diseases, was recognized for &#8220;Reduction in Blood Culture Contamination Through Use of Initial Specimen Diversion Device.&#8221; <em>Clinical Infectious Disease, Vol. 65, <\/em>pp. 201-205.<\/p>\n<p>Bryant England, MD, assistant professor division of rheumatology and immunology, received the honor for &#8220;Associations of Circulating Cytokines and Chemokines with Cancer Mortality in Men with Rheumatoid Arthritis.&#8221; <em>Arthritis Rheumatol, Vol. 68, <\/em>pp. 2394-402.<\/p>\n<p>Sarah Holstein, MD, PhD, division of hematology and oncology, was selected for &#8220;Updated Analysis of CALGB (Alliance) 100104 Assessing Lenalidomide vs Placebo Maintenance after Single Autologous Stem-cell Transplantation for Multiple Myeloma.&#8221; <em>Lancet Hematology, Vol. 4, <\/em>pp. 431-42.<\/p>\n<!-- <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"\/secure-location.php\" title=\"  vInS\">  vInS<\/a> --><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Three faculty members were recognized at Research Grand Rounds on December 15 for receiving the Publication of the Quarter honor in 2017.
