Seats are still available.  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/RIUSpring2018\">Register here<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><b>Feb. 20, 5-6 p.m.: Journal Club<\/b><br \/>\nJoin colleagues in group discussion centered on evidence-based medical journals. This informal journal club will give participants a better understanding of the health care environment and allow for open discussion on relevant medical topics. <\/p>\n<p>The journal article will be emailed ahead of time to all those who sign up to participate in each discussion. The first journal club meeting will take place in Lower Storz 6, 7 and 8. The topic of this discussion is &#8220;The Ethics and Reality of Rationing in Medicine.&#8221; For those interested, please email <a href=\"mailto:anarveson@nebraskamed.com\">Alyson Narveson<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>March 6, 8:30-10:30 a.m.: &#8220;Developing U&#8221;<\/b><br \/>\nJoin the Emerging Professionals Program for a brief breakfast and networking opportunity from 8:30-9 a.m. before engaging in a conversation surrounding &#8220;Developing U,&#8221; featuring Diane Kortus, training and development specialist. Registration will open soon on the EPP website.<br \/>\nThis program explains what a holistic, integrative and measurable development plan looks like so that attendees may close skill gaps utilizing a targeted individual development plan (IDP). The program will answer the following questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What is &#8220;development&#8221; and who owns it?\n<li>Creating an individual development plan &#8212; integrative, measurable and holistic\n<li>Who are your IDP allies?\n<li>Focus &#8212; development activity every day<\/ul>\n<p><b>May 23, 9:30-11 a.m.: Navigating the Multigenerational Workforce<\/b><br \/>\nGenerational speaker Leah Gorges will define the five generations interacting in the modern workplace and discuss each generation&#8217;s shared history and communication preferences that impact office and client interactions. Registration will open soon on the EPP website. <\/p>\n<p>All events require pre-registration.
