The Emerging Professionals Program has events scheduled for May.<\/p>\n

The program serves as an avenue for early and experienced careerists to grow through educational activities, engaging in the community, and contributing to the mission of UNMC. <\/p>\n

The events, which are open to the campus community, include:
\nMay 15, 11 a.m.-noon: Community Engagement Speaker Series<\/b>

\nDurham Research Center, Room 1004<\/b><\/p>\n

The organization featured in the first Community Engagement Speaker Series event will be Habitat for Humanity of Omaha. Guest speakers from Habitat will be Meggan Thomas, development officer, and Emily Lowndes, development officer of faith and engagement.<\/p>\n

The Community Engagement Speaker Series will be an ongoing series featuring various non-profit organizations throughout the Omaha area. The objective is to understand the mission of the featured organizations, learn about the organizations’ programming, and identify volunteer opportunities within the organizations.<\/p>\n

May 23, 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m.: Navigating the Multigenerational Workplace<\/b>
\nLeah Gorges, multigenerational speaker, will discuss the five generations interacting in the modern workplace and how shared history and communication preferences influence office and client interactions.<\/p>\n

Second Annual Cornhole Tournament (Date is TBD)<\/b>
\nGet a team together and start practicing for the second annual EPP Cornhole Tournament to be held this summer. There will music, free food, prizes and a grand prize for the winners of the tournament. Stop by to mingle with colleagues and compete for the title.
