Thankfully, I have met many excellent scientific collaborators, friends and mentors who share a keen interest in answering some of the myriad of longstanding questions surrounding human health, particularly in areas of transcription and epigenetics. The excitement of creating new knowledge, and realizing the potential application of these discoveries on the natural world, continues to inspire me.<\/p>\n<p><b>Degrees:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.A., biology, Colorado College, Colorado Springs\n<li>Ph.D., cell, molecular and developmental biology, Tufts University, Medford, Mass.\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Memberships:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>American Society of Hematology\n<li>International Society for Experimental Hematology\n<li>American Heart Association\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Three things people may not know about me:<\/b><br \/>\nOutside the lab, I enjoy woodworking and gardening.
