I was an athlete and a student athletic trainer, so I was exposed to sports injuries and the treatment of these injuries early in life. I also had the opportunity to shadow an orthopaedic surgeon during high school and was fascinated with orthopaedic surgery from that moment on. As I went through medical school, I learned how orthopaedic surgeons can positively affect a person&#8217;s quality of life, and I want to have that same impact on my patients. Orthopaedics is so rewarding because we have the ability to help people get back to doing the things they want to do with decreased pain and increased mobility.
