Three mental health professionals from UNMC and Nebraska Medicine will speak about postpartum depression in women at the next Omaha Science Café at 7 p.m. on Nov 13 at the Slowdown, 729 N. 14th St.
\n 
\nSharon Hammer, M.D., is the director of reproductive psychiatry at Nebraska Medicine and an assistant professor in the department of psychiatry at UNMC. She has more than 20 years experience in her specialty.
\n 
\nMarley Doyle, M.D., also is an assistant professor in the department of psychiatry at UNMC and is fellowship-trained in women's mental health. She has four years of clinical experience in the specialty. She also has a special interest in obsessive-compulsive disorder during pregnancy and postpartum.
\n 
\nLeigh Cook, APRN, is a psychiatric nurse practitioner with Nebraska Medicine. She has four years of clinical experience working in the area of reproductive mood disorders and has a special interest in working with women who have children in the neonatal intensive care unit. 
\n 
\nScience Cafés involve a face-to-face conversation with a scientist about current science topics. They are open to everyone (21 and older) and take place in casual settings like pubs and coffeehouses. Each meeting is organized around an interesting topic of conversation. A scientist gives a brief presentation followed by a Q-and-A period.
\n
